We had a school holiday on Monday, so this week flew by! We spent lots of time at the beach after class and are heading to Granada and Sevilla in Southern Spain in the morning bright and early. Our 1 euro flight to Sevilla leaves at 6 a.m. ekkk! (at least we got a good deal on it...!).

PRAGUE! Part 2
You feel like you stepped back in time in Prague. It is so easy to picture old horse drawn carriages going through the middle of the Old Town Square up across the Charles Bridge to the castle.
The streets look like this---
Lots of old cars giving tours of the city.
And even the metro looks cool!
On our second day we hiked up to Petrin Hill to get great views of the city and visit the rose gardens.
Such beautiful rose gardens
We climbed the steps all the way to the top of the tower to see----
We sat at a little cafe on the river for coffee in the afternoon.
PRAGUE! Part 1
We had the best trip to Prague over the weekend. The city was so cool and unlike anywhere I had ever been.
While we were a little concerned about not speaking any Czech, we ended having the best stay.
The only word I can really remember in Czech is "Ahoy" which means "hey!"

Our hotel was awesome. We got so lucky using booking.com and paid for a hotel that cost less than the hostels we found, and then got upgraded for some reason to a five star hotel!!
Best b-fast buffet ever that was included!
Our first day started with rain, so we took the sweet black umbrella from our hotel and went out exploring.
First stop: John Lennon wall. It started around 1988 as a source for Czech people to express their feelings during the state of communism.

People go and write/paint etc on the wall. Apparently it changes in looks completely all the time as people add what they choose.
We walked around a little after this and popped into a couple cool old churches, like St. Nicholas Cathedral and we visited the famous castle (largest in the world).
And thennn.... The sun came out and it was the best weather!!
So we climbed the tower on the side of the Charles Bridge (which is the biggest tourist attraction for sure. It connects the Old Town to the Castle.)
And went paddle boating on the river.
It was soooo fun!!!

Milk
On each Barcelona guide we received from older friends, we were told we had to go to this little place called Milk for brunch. It is only open on the weekends, and since we will be traveling most weekends, we decided that today was the day to go to Milk.
Getting there, though, was quite the adventure. When Blair and I left the apartment it was barely sprinkling outside, we got on the metro, got off at our stop for Milk, and encountered full on rain. Like streets flooding kind of rain. Our jeans and shoes were completely soaked. We were not even sure if the restaurant was going to let us in we were so wet. But we made it eventually... and they let us eat.
The place was super cute and had lots of windows to watch the rain!
I got the BEST brunch I've ever had-- I think my fav meal in Europe so far, for sure.
French toast covered in Greek yogurt and berries. It was soooo good.
Wahoooooooo Milk!

Our Landmark
Barcelona has tons of random abstract pieces of art and statues all around the city.
This one is our "landmark" for meeting our friends on the beach after class on sunny days.

We always know exactly where to find our amigos.. at the rusty boxes!
It has been rainy here still for the past couple of days, which is apparently very weird for Barcelona, but today we finally got to go to the beach.
It was still a little chili but we just hung out and relaxed after our test!
Antique Newspaper
I found an old antique market yesterday and got a super cool Barcelona newspaper from 1930 to frame for my room next year!
The little old antique man.
This is a picture of a girl giving cyclists water. Don't know why I picked this one, I just really like it!
