We made it!!

Here in Paris after a long day of traveling. It seemed like a whirlwind getting here. We spent about two and half hours getting through the Paris metros and trains with ALL of our luggage. After Emily and I got our suitcases stuck in the ticket booth doors and my suitcase handle came off, we made it to our hostel. We had to argue with an Asian girl that spoke broken English to get our rooms that we had already paid for, eventually we got it figured out and left our luggage and went to explore the area we are staying called Bastille. We arent staying in a very touristy area, so much to our surprise enlglish is much harder to come by than we thought. We saw lots of great shops and cafes and a little outdoor market. We had our first French meal at one of the cafes- quiche with scallops and crap. Yum yumm! And we made great friends with our french waiter, Stefan. We love Paris!! Going on a bike tour tonight to see lots of great places.
